With de Hamert as startingpoint, you can go different ways. For the lover of nature there is nature all aroud you. Different routes to stroll along in National Park De Maasduinen, just outside the front door.

In Arcen (3 km.) you will find de Kasteeltuinen Arcen: A beautiful castle-garden. Across the river, with a ferry, you can go to streekmuseum De Locht: this is a museum for mushrooms and white asparagus, in Horst/Melderslo. De Floriade (a flower and gardening event) is only 20 car minutes away.

Within 25 km you will also find Liberty Park (war museum in Overloon), De botanische Tuin (botanical Garden) and missionhouse in Steyl, The museum Van Bommel-Van Dam in Venlo with modern art and the Limburgs Museum in Venlo.

The Hertog Jan beer brewery is in Arcen, as is de IJsvogel, a local distillery.

Just across the border is the pilgrimage Kevelaer and about 30 car mintes away you can be in Düsseldorf with the famous shopping street the Kö.
